Kenzie’s mom contacted me during her pregnancy-and I could tell from our emails back and forth that I was going to enjoy her newborn’s session. She was the first client’s session I photographed when I got back from my 3 month maternity leave-as our own little girl was born over the summer. I was anxious to snuggle this sweet little girl-and her mama & I shared a love of the tiny details. Toes, fingers, sweet parted lips, and back rolls where all on the list to capture-so mama could recall every sweet memory as her baby grew.

We got a smile! All 3 of us, (mom, dad, and myself) were ecstatic when she smiled…little did we know that she would smile more as we went on.

I love vintage. These two quilts are some of my favorite prop finds-and the sweet yellow bonnet I had been dying to use.

At the end, as she was letting us know that paparazzi time was over-I asked mom for a few quick shots…and we got this smile 🙂 Now it’s one of their favorites from the session!
